TRAILER
PARK CHIC?
sexy tees have hit the red
carpet,
and should hit your wardrobe too
Pack up the princess dress. Put away your
grandma’s pearls. Hang up the high-end,
hand-sewn sequin top. What’s sexy,
yet still feminine, is being redefined
with t-shirts.
It seems at one point or another, every
t-girl goes down one of two fashion paths;
either “overly feminine from a decade
ago” or “simply ghetto slut.”
And, t-shirts hardly ever get a chance
in the t-girl closet because, let’s
face it, t-shirts are for boys. Well,
no more!
Celebrities have unleashed a t-craze.
From Britney Spears’ midriff tee
on the red carpet for the premiere of
“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”
proclaiming "I Have The Golden Ticket"
(with an arrow pointing toward her pregnant
tummy) to Tori Spelling’s tough
tee announcing “My Dog Can Beat
Up Paris Hilton's Dog," t-shirts
have become a staple in a girl’s
wardrobe. Even Cosmo Girl’s “Most
Beautiful Girl in the World” Jessica
Simpson pokes fun at herself with a tee
that reads “Talentless But Connected.”
So, besides the little black dress that
every fashionable woman needs to own,
add a little black (or white or pink)
tee to that list. Be brazen! The pink
Hello
Kitty Skull & Crossbones tee from
Crack Smokin’ T-shirts is sure
to get a few cat calls. Or, bring that
ghetto leather mini into this decade with
